Stonehenge is a Prehistoric monument located on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire. It is located 2 miles west of Amesbury. It consists of an outer ring of vertical standing stones which are each 13 feet high and 7 feet wide. Every stone weighs around 25 tons connecting on the top horizontally.

On the inside of the Ring are smaller blue stones and double care, vertical stones interconnected the whole monument is aligned toward the sunrise on the summer solstice. These stones are set within earthworks in the middle of the bronze age monuments in England including several hundred burial mounds. Archaeologists believe that Stonehenge was constructed between 3000 BC to 2000 BC.

The second phase of Stonehenge was constructed approximately between 2902 and 2600 BC and it is stated to be the early third Millennium some form of the structure was built within the enclosure during this period. Later in 2600 BC,

the archaeologists did the excavation and Doug two concentric arrays of holes in the center of the site however they could be the remains of a double ring the holes held up to 80 standing stones only 43 of which can be traced today it is Generally Accepted that the bluestones were transported by the builders.
